Butterfly lovers can find a haven here as well.  Stop by and view living art as butterflies flit in the enclosed sanctuary of the Bangkok Butterfly Garden and Insectarium.  So large you can get lost, rent a bicycle for around 30 baht a day.

Bangkok Forensic Museum

Crime show fans who don’t have a weak stomach will find their inner crime scene technician at the Pathology and Forensic Museums.  Displays of accident victims bodies along with the body of a serial killer known for eating kids livers.   Yuck!

Thai Spa and Massage 

If you are all about releasing tension, make an appointment at the Como Shambhala Spa.  Come early to utilize their steam rooms and hydro pool.  Ask for one of their signature massages that run about 3,000 baht (about $95 US). The difference from the traditional Thai massage is noticeable.  Asian inspired facials and other therapies are also available.

Rice Barge Cruise

For those who love Thai history but may be tired of walking, a dinner cruise on the 50-year-old Manohra Rice Barge or the Loy Nava Cruise is an ideal choice. A new venue for arts has popped up this year (2014).  While information is a tad scarce, the Thong Lor Art Space is looking to make a big splash.  Look for their Facebook page to see what artists and performers are going to show up.  They also give out discounted tickets there.

Tawandang German Brewhouse 

And last but not least, who doesn’t like beer?  Tawandang German Brewhouse features live entertainment, a brewery (who knew?) and their famous signature deep fried pork knuckle.  People in the know recommend calling ahead for a table as it seems to be a happening place.
